But there's a good reason for the M3's destruction.

BMW is set to reveal awagon versionof its brilliant newM3,虽然消息是苦乐参半的,因为它的unlikely that it'll be coming to the United States. There was no wagon derivative of the previous-generation M3, although some individuals took it upon themselves to build one anyway. The very green andpowerful M3 Competitionwagon seen here is from the UK and although it looks like an impressive custom project and is said to be an award-winning show car, it turns out that it was built with several stolen parts from other M3s. That's one of the reasons this M3 wagon was sent to the crusher by authorities in the UK.

According toExpress & Star, police officers in West Midlands stopped the M3 in November last year. They must've been quite savvy officers as their suspicions were first raised when they noticed that this was an M3 wagon which BMW didn't actually make. Following an inspection, it was found that the M3 was made from parts from at least four other cars, including two previously stolen M3s. Although the green M3 wagon had a neat paint job, it was found to be structurally unsafe.

"Scratch beneath the veneer and it was just tag welded and structurally unsafe," said Pc Mark Wheaver from the Central Motorway Police Group.

"A coat of paint won't save your life in a collision," continued Wheaver. He said that the offending parties had done whatever they could to conceal the car's real identity.

In a video shared by West Midlands Police, this M3 wagon was actually found to have started life as a 2.0-liter diesel before its transformation into an M3. The running gear used was also from stolen M3s.

The sight of thispretty wagongetting destroyed isn't an easy watch at first, but it's much better to have a structurally unsafe and illegal vehicle like this one off the road than on it, even if it's an M3.
