A beautiful, no-expense-spared Chevy coupe-build from the '70s heads to auction.

When it comes to iconic American muscle cars, the1970 Chevrolet Chevelleis up there with some of the best of them. Under the Chevelle's sharp, muscly, and elongated hood, a strapping and raucous V8 engine has always been an essential hallmark, rumbling the earth around the car and ceding ridiculous levels of power through a must-have and engaging manual stick-shift gearbox to the rear wheels. Enthusiasts love this muscle car and many have gone out of their way to boost performance and add personal flair to their precious artifacts. Enthusiasts now have the opportunity to own one of these classic 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle's, only this one is custom built with a new supercharged GM Performance LT5 6.2-liter V8 engine.

This is the same unit utilized in theC7 Corvette ZR1, capable of generating up to 755 horsepower and 715 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent rearward via a Tremec six-speed manual, keeping the real, traditional fun and engagement that should be preserved in any classic sportscar. The exterior is discerned by a Roadster Shop chassis powder-coated in black and finished in Sikkens acid-dipped black paint. Custom-made Schott alloy wheels with Diamondback classic redline radial tires fill its flared wheel arches. The interior features Dakota digital gauges and a custom Mercedes red leather dash, door, and seating upholstery crafted by the award-winning Jon Lind.

Other specialized equipment includes a fully adjustable coilover suspension with a Moser 373 Detroit Truetrac center section and a four-link rear end. 14-inch Baer six-piston brakes manage stopping performance and the Fesler hood hinges, custom-made Wegner billet valve covers, Ultimate headers, Vintage Air, TIG-welded exhaust system, and Rick's stainless steel fuel tank add an air of individuality. Barret-Jackson in Scottsdale has scheduled the custom 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle to go up for auction in March 2021.
