Cow Breaks Into Dealership, Causes $2,000 Worth Of Damage

We bet your dealership story isn't as strange as this.

Even under normal circumstances, going into the dealership can be a painful experience. Some dealers love to usedevious tactics to get as much money as possible out of customers. We've heard some incredible stories, but the best normally involve a crazy accident of some kind, like when someonecrashed their Mercedes SLK into a Tesla dealership in San Fransisco.

Crashing into a dealership certainly isn't a common occurrence, but it is far less strange than what happened at a Mazda dealership in Scotland. According to Fox News, a runaway cow broke into the dealership and caused thousands of dollars worth of damage.

Employees at Arnold Clark Stirling Mazda in Stirling, Scotland were baffled when a cow wandered into the showroom. The cow then proceeded to stir up chaos in the dealership, causing over $2,000 worth of damage to an MX-5 Miata and a Mazda2 before crashing through a sliding door and running into the parking lot.

The sales manager James Merrins said "We were standing in the showroom then I saw one of my guys running towards us shouting 'cow cow cow'. Next thing you know the cow was in the showroom and it looked as calm as you like. But when the automatic doors shut behind it, it began to panic and that's when we all run for it into the offices because there was no way of stopping it."

Eventually, the cow was caught and returned to its owner, who agreed to pay for the damages. "They have said they will reimburse everything which is great and I even got a lovely bottle of whiskey as an apology," Merrins said. We could imagine this being a scary moment for the sales staff, but one employee managed to get a picture of the cow behind what appears to be a Mazda2. T

he Mazda2 is no longer sold in the US, but we can buy a rebadged version called the Toyota Yaris IA.Judging by our experience with the Yaris, it wouldn't fare well in a fight against an angry cow.
