There's a lesson to be learned here.

破坏了护卫舰已经在新闻中lately, specifically the122 that were destroyed last weekby tornadoes in Kentucky. Those were all brand new C8s that had not yet left the Bowling Green factory where they were assembled. It's been estimated General Motors lost around $8.2 million, an amount the automaker won't have a problem absorbing. That's not the case for aC7 Corvetteowner from California.

According to the Public Safety News Network, the driver of Laguna Blue C7 was driving at a high speed and the local police department in Roseville, California didn't manage to pull them over in time before this happened.

Unfortunately, we don't have precise details as to how the crash occurred but we certainly know its grueling aftermath. The Vette was split in half. More than likely, the driver simply lost control. Notice the rear half got flung all the way into the emergency lane while the front ended up crushing shrubbery in a road island.

The good news is that nobody got hurt and the driver walked away without injury. They were probably then taken into custody. The fact that the Corvette didn't kill or seriously injure its occupant is a testament to its solid safety engineering.

The front end/engine was designed to break away in instances such as this in order to keep the passenger compartment safe and intact. Any fire that could ignite would probably originate in the engine. Accidents like these don't happen often and the driver must have been going way too fast in the first place. It's just something that happens every now and then when inexperienced drivers get behind the wheel of a powerful sports car.

Professional track driving lessons can certainly help but it's ultimately the responsibility of every driver to know their limits. And obey the speed limits.
