Chevrolet Runs Out Of Its Most Popular Corvette Options

The order books for the 2023 Corvette Stingray are still open, but that doesn't necessarily mean you'll be able to get the car you want. The screengrabs shared by the insider revealed that there are parts that are currently out of stock, and the date at which said parts will be available is yet to be determined. The more appealing options are seemingly sold out for the entire model year.

The currently unavailable parts can all be retrofitted, or you can go without them if you want. These include chrome wheel locks, all-weather floor liners, the high wing spoiler in Carbon Flash metallic-painted, and Red Edge brake calipers. The red engine cover option is no longer available unless you opt for the70th Anniversary Package.

As mentioned earlier, the entire model year production run restrictions are more severe. Due to supplier restrictions, the 19/20-inch Gloss Black forged aluminum wheels are unavailable. The Z51 Performance Package is sold out for the entire year, and that's a pity. The package came standard with the non-adaptive performance suspension, electronic limited-slip differential, heavy-duty cooling, performance exhaust, and high-performance Brembo brakes. It wasone of the most popular options in 2022and would have likely continued the trend in 2023.

Magnetic Ride Control and the Z51 Package with Magnetic Selective Ride Control are also sold out for the model year.

Essentially, Chevrolet has removed the ability to opt for a track-biased Corvette or a more comfortable suspension setup for daily driving. While a standard 'Vette is a reasonably talented car, you can only get the best out of it with the Z51 Performance Package included.
