And it looks seriously good.

Buick has been making some serious moves in recent months with the canning of theLaCrosseandRegal, and have recently given us a first glimpse of the new2021 Envision, which looks way more stylish than its predecessor that has been on sale in the US since 2016. Now Buick continues its SUV crusade with the announcement of the range-topping 2021 Buick Envision Avenir in China.

When Buick first revealed the new Envision, we got to see the new car in Essence trim level, and while the manufacturer did say that the Avenir trim would be available, we failed to catch a glimpse of it.

What is clear to see from the images is that the Envision Avenir has gone through some slight styling tweaks to make it stand out from the base model, and we must say, it looks pretty handsome. In the front, there's a unique signature mesh grille, and the Avenir also gets a set of unique alloy wheels. The standard wheel trim, which is gray-black plastic gets swapped out for a body-colored version, which cleans up the side profile nicely.

The Avenir, like most other range-topping models, will include exclusive paint options, as well as unique interior trim and material options.

The Envision shares its platform with theCadillac XT4and was developed to be a more premium offering than the first-generation car. The exterior design of these cars is clearly more refined and is further highlighted with the Avenir trim. Powering the 2021 Envision is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 237 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, which will send its power to the front wheels through the latest GM nine-speed automatic transmission.

The 2021 Envision will continue to be produced at the SAIC-GM Jinqiao South plant in China for both the North America and Chinese markets. The Chinese version will be called Envision S.
