布加迪威龙大运动L'Or Blanc One-Off Unveiled

Just as the world's fastest car is being retired, this special one-off edition of the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport has been announced. Called the L'Or Blanc, it is the world's first car to have porcelain elements both inside and out and is priced at €1,650,000 or $2,400,000.

Supercar maker Bugatti has teamed up with KPM (Konigliche Porzellan-Manufatur Berlin) to create a unique one-off version of the Veyron Grand Sport, called the L'Or Blanc or White Gold. The L'Or Blanc is world's first motorcar to have porcelain elements on its body and in the cabin. Before they were added, the elements were thoroughly examined for safety in order to optimally protect the passengers in case of an accident.

Porcelain is also used for the inlays of the center wheel badges, the oil filler cap, the fuel filler cap and the signature EB badge at the rear. The exterior is surrounded in thin blue lines to give the Veyron a very abstract look. While applying the bodywork, designers were very meticulous with the finest details. If the detailed lines didn't please them, they placed a correction tape above the original line. They repeated this process until the final line has the right tension and character. The end result is something that would make Andy Warhol or Jackson Pollock proud.

The Veyron is powered by an 8.0-liter W16 64v DOHC quad-turbocharged gasoline engine that produces a monstrous and out of this planet output of over 1,000 horses and around 980 lb-ft of torque, making this the fastest convertible in the world. The Veyron can go from 0-62 in a mind boggling time of 2.46 seconds and has a top speed of around 250mph (with the roof in place). Just in case you're thinking of trying to buy it, the L'Or Blanc is priced at only €1,650,000 or $2,400,000. Sure to make a nice birthday or anniversary present for anyone.
