Bugatti Spaceship Lands at Comic-Con

Matt Damon's newest film features, of all things, a spaceship with the Bugatti badge.

Bugatti is best known for its exotic and exclusive supercars. What most people don't know about the French marque, however, is that it has built trains and aircraft, too. The latest vehicle bearing the Bugatti badge, however, is another story altogether. Spotted by FirstShowing outside of the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego during Comic-Con was a Bugatti that is, quite simply, out of this world. It is a spaceship designed to emulate Bugattis past and present with design cues any car buff would instantly recognize.

Developed for director Neill Blomkamp's latest film "Elysium", the Bugatti spaceship is hovering outside the hotel for all to see. In the words of FirstShowing's Twitter source, "that [the spaceship] shit gets F upped in the flick. Lot of great vehicles in the movie!" "Elysium" is a sci-fi thriller starring Matt Damon and Jodie Foster. The film, set in the future, involves two classes of people - the rich who inhabit the space station Elysium, and the poor, who inhabit an overpopulated Earth. A star-speeding Bugatti ought to help bridge the socio-economic divide.
