Brabus Transforms AMG G63 4x4 Squared Into 789-HP Ultra-Luxury Off-Roader

For those who think the standard AMG G63 4x4 Squared is lacking something.

Mercedes-Benz tuner Brabus has released a refinement program for theAMG G63 4x4 Squared, providing the conspicuous off-roader with even more power and aggression than before.

Already a powerful brute, the Bottrop-based firm has reworked the grumbly 4.0-liter turbocharged V8 to produce a muscular 690 horsepower and 701 lb-ft of torque courtesy of the B40-700 performance upgrade. Should that not impress you, Brabus also offers the B40S-800, which brings 789 hp and 738 lb-ft to the party.

To ensure everyone in the vicinity knows you're packing serious power, the Brabus exhaust delivers a bark to match the bite. But to keep your neighbors happy, a 'Coming Home' mode reduces the V8 growl to a subtle burble.

This surfeit of strength and vigor is designed to make the 4x4 Squared even more capable off-road. If you want a G-Class with rocket-rivaling performance, perhapsthe 900 Superblack with 888 horseswould be more to your liking.

The big G didn't need more styling accouterments to help it stand out, but that hasn't stopped Brabus from fitting it with an array of "look at me" parts.

Carbon fiber adorns almost every surface thanks to the Brabus Widestar body kit, which provides the 4x4 Squared with an indestructible look. This attitude is reinforced by the menacing Powerdome hood, revised front grille, and rear wing, all finished in carbon fiber.

Sited just above the windscreen is a new wind deflector with built-in LED spotlights. This feature should come in handy if you find yourself still exploring the wilderness at nightfall. But it's not just style and no substance. Customers can select from genuinely useful accessories, including a Brabus roof rack and a cable winch.

22-inch Monoblock HD forged wheels are finished in matte black with silver trimmings and, on this particular vehicle, are wrapped in chunky Pirelli Scorpion all-terrain tires.

Finally, we get to the interior, and, while it'snot quite as outlandish as other Brabus creations, it's quite a sight to behold.

The biggest change takes place in the rear, where the traditional bench seat is replaced with two Brabus captain's chairs with a Business Middle Console. This Maybach-style arrangement certainly heightens luxury but robs the 4X4 Squared of some of its practicality. We're guessing most customers won't care much and are far more excited by the seemingly endless leather and Alcantara upholstery options.

The legendary Benz specialistalso offers a host of accessories including aluminum pedals, door pins, and shift paddles, along with a variety of backlit entrance panels. Those with unbridled bank accounts can make their wildest dreams come true via the Brabus in-house saddlery service.

There's no mention of price, but we shudder to think what these add-ons would cost. Then again, that's of little concern to the individual at which this package is aimed at.
