BMW Vision ConnectedDrive Spotted In Berlin

Technology /17 Comments

BMW's new concept, the Vision ConnectedDrive, was recently spotted in Berlin during a photo shoot for the German automaker. Unveiled last March at the Geneva Motor Show, the concept showcases the latest in BMW design along with a host of other innovations. The two-seat roadster features a long hood, short overhangs, and a bold front-end. In fact, the car's design has been somewhat downplayed because BMW wanted the full attention to be on its technology.

Overall, the technology focuses on making the car a part of the networked world with its advanced heads-up display that uses technology to project in 3D various information. The infotainment system is partially based on location information that is filtered by content, similar to a keyword search (and similar meanings to that word). In fact, users can operate this system from either the car or at home. BMW apparently was filming a commercial showcasing the car and its technologies, which will likely find their way to production in the near future. Photos courtesy of Wouter/Bmwblog.com
