Audi Shows Off New 2020 A6 Allroad At Chicago

Last year, Audi answered the prayers of wagon enthusiasts in America by announcing theAudi RS6 Avantis finally coming to America after being forbidden fruit for so many years. The good news continued a few months later when Audi confirmed the A6 Allroad is also returning to the US for the 2020 model year. This will be the first time theAudi A6 Allroadhas been sold in America since 2005.

We got our first look at the new Audi RS6 Avant in the metal last September at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, and now the 2020 Audi A6 Allroad has made its American debut at the 2020 Chicago Auto Show.

With its matte gray-painted wheel arches and rocker panels, unique grille with vertical slats, and Allroad-specific 20-inch wheels, the Audi A6 Allroad has a very rugged appearance. To help it handle rough terrain, the Audi A6 Allroad features a specially-tuned adaptive air suspension with controlled damping that raises the ride height by up to 1.8 inches higher than the standard A6 with 7.3 inches of ground clearance.

Like the A6 sedan, the new Allroad is powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 TFSI engine producing 335 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to a Quattro all-wheel-drive system through a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission.
