Third time is, finally, a charm.
Florida Governor Rick Scott was recently invited by Audi for a quick demo of the semi-autonomous A7. Closing down a stretch of highway outside of Tampa, the governor, a supporter of autonomous vehicle legislation, was invited to get behind the wheel and examine the system up close and with(out) his own hands. Unfortunately for Audi, one of the car's sensors suffered a miscommunication with the main computer, causing the system to shut down. The same thing happened when Scott had his second go.
Luckily for Audi, the third time was a charm, allowing the company to release this short video featuring its brief moment of success.
