2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Sounds Awesome At The Nurburgring

You've seen the static images. Now you can watch the 850-hp super sports car do its thing on video.

Shortly after our spy photographers sent usimages of the upcoming Chevrolet Corvette ZR1showing us the most revealing shots of the widened ZR1 body to date, we've come across a video of the widebody sports car operating at full tilt, and it sounds epic.

Expected to make use of a modifiedCorvette Z065.5-liter LT6 engine with a pair of turbochargers attached, the ZR1 is predicted to produce 850 horsepower, 200 more than the naturally aspirated Z06. As the images reveal, this means added cooling demands, hence the additional intakes along the sides of the body, and although the resulting machine won't have the shrill shriek of the Z06, it will more than make up for that with speed.

Check out the video below and see just how planted the ZR1 looks at high speed.

The new twin-turbo engine is expected to be called the LT7, and we have no doubt that this will be supported by enhanced suspension and braking components.

The chunky front splitter, front canards, and large rear wing will work in tandem with a heavily vented hood to provide a well-balanced car at high speeds. The car is expected to be launched for the 2025 model year, which means a full reveal will probably only take place at some point next year.

但这不会结束的Corvette's reign of terror on the Nurburgring, as an even more extreme variant is coming the year after.

Sometime in 2026, the daddy of them all will arrive as theCorvette Zora, named after the "Father of the Corvette," Zora Arkus-Duntov. This is expected to take the ZR1's LT7 engine even further to create the LT7HP1. This range-topping model will arrive with electrification, all-wheel drive, and 1,000 hp.

In addition to this, it's possible that asplit window may be offeredat some point, potentially as a special edition of its own or as an appearance package that celebrates the 1963 C2 Corvette Stingray.

In the meantime, you're stuck with the regular C8 Stingray, the Z06, or the E-Ray, all of which havejust received a notable price hike.
