2024 Lexus RX Remains A Sub-$50,000 Luxury SUV

Lexus has revealed full pricing for the 2024 RX lineup. This includes the recently announcedLexus RX Plug-In Hybrid, dubbed the RX 450h+.

The RX 450h+ shares a drivetrain with the NX plug-in hybrid, combining a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with an 18.1 kWh battery and electric motors to deliver 302 horsepower. The battery is strong enough for35 miles of electric driving.

Despite being less potent than the RX500h F Sport Performance, the RX450h+ isnow the most expensive versionof Lexus' mid-size crossover. Pricing for the PHEV starts at $70,080 (not including a $1,350 destination and handling fee), and since it's not built in the US, it does not qualify for a tax credit. The RX 500h's price has increased to $63,800 ($62,750 in 2023). This is the most powerful RX ever, powered by a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine and an eAxle rear motor, producing a respectable 367 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque.

Prices for the RX are up across the range, but the base RX 350 with front-wheel-drive manages to stay under the $50,000 mark at $49,950 ($48,550 in 2023). Adding all-wheel-drive brings the price to $51,550. The most expensive gas-only RX is the RX 350 Luxury AWD, which starts at $60,680. All RX 350 models get a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 275 hp.

For just a bit more than an RX 350 AWD, buyers can opt for the RX350h hybrid model with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and electric motors. It produces just 246 hp but averages 36 mpg combined compared to the RX 350's 25 mpg.

Pricing for the hybrid starts at $51,800 and tops out at $60,930.
