2023 Infiniti QX80 Arrives With Amazon Alexa And New Price Tag

Having a voice assistant is cool but it's still a $72,000 Armada.

Infiniti has announced new pricing and changes for its 2023QX80.

The brand's flagship年代UV shares a lot with the Nissan Armada, but Infiniti is slowly working to change that, with anew revision of the car set to be shown later this year. For now, those looking for the latest QX80 will have to wait.

For 2023, Infiniti has added haptic steering wheel feedback for its lane departure warning system and Amazon Alexa to the infotainment system, which should be a vast improvement over last year's Infiniti-made assistant. With these changes in mind, Infiniti has said that the new QX80 will start at $72,700.

Those small changes are worth a relatively small bump in price from last year's MSRP of $71,950.

As with any Infiniti you buy nowadays, you'll also be given access to Infiniti Premium Care. That includes three years of inspections, oil changes, and tire rotations. Three trims are available for the QX80, all of which can be had with 4WD. The 80 packs a 400-horsepower, 5.6-liter V8 engine with a 7-speed automatic transmission.

On top of that, all QX80s come with Infiniti's suite of safety tech. That includes forward emergency braking, automatic rear braking, blind spot monitoring, lane departure assist, high beam assist, and moving object detection via the brand's Around View Monitor (360-degree camera suite).

From there, the QX80 Luxe adds a few more luxury touches. You'll write a check for $72,700 MSRP ($75,800 with 4WD) for that pleasure. The Luxe model comes standard with 20-inch wheels and an upgraded 13-speaker Bose system. Some tech features are added here as well.

That includes a smart rearview mirror, power liftgate, and, per Infiniti, "much more." You'll also receive a wireless charger at this point, alongside actual leather seats with Charcoal Burl trim to match. We should note that changes from here in are more about refining the car, as both Nissan and Infiniti factor a lot of the Armada/QX80's equipment into base models.

This leaves us with the range-topper, the QX80 Premium Select, which comes in at $77,785 or $80,885 with 4WD. This is, for those following along at home, not quite the peak of the range. As such, the changes here are minor. These models get new 22-inch dark chrome wheels, black mirror caps, chrome exterior trim, and a matte Mocha Burl interior.

As ever, the range is topped by the Sensory trim.We tested this model a while back, starting at $84,835 or $87,935 with 4WD. This gets semi-aniline quilted leather seating, a 17-speaker Bose system, chrome mirror caps, hydraulic body motion control suspension, and climate-controlled front seats.

Infiniti hasn't yet said when 2023 cars will be hitting the road.
