2023 Honda HR-V Revealed With Distinctive Styling

Speaking of which, the brand now confirms that the new HR-V will ride on the compact hatch's Honda Architecture platform. This generation measures both longer and wider than the previous model, granting it a sportier presence and improved interior packaging. Evidently, it has been designed to cater to adventurous consumers who also spend time in tight urban cities.

Honda says that the HR-V will be powered by a more responsive engine which we can assume to be the turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine currently being used by the Civic range. In the Si, it produces 200 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque to the front wheels. For sportier dynamics, it will also do away with the previous torsion beam and employ an independent rear suspension.

Going back to design, the Japanese brand explains that key visual highlights of the exterior include the wide-set LED headlights and taillights. A functional tailgate spoiler applied to the sculpted hatch comes as a subtle addition to its sporting prowess. No official launch date for the HR-V has been detailed but Honda confirms that more information will be revealed in the coming months through a series of campaigns.
