2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Spec C for Japan

Special Editions /4 Comments

WRX fans in Japan will be happy to hear that Subaru has unveiled the new Impreza WRX STI spec C for Japan. The spec C variation brings this model up to speed with the facelifted WRX which debuted much earlier this year at the New York show. The engine underwent an ECU remap and saw the addition of new ball-bearings for the twin-scroll turbocharger. This results in a new output of 304 horsepower on the 2.0-liter turbo unit.

It also gets a driveline change to a mechanical rear limited-slip differential from the previous Torsen type. The front chassis is also reinforced with a new cross member. The weight has also been reduced by means of an aluminum hood, smaller battery, and 18-inch light alloy wheels. This is sure to be one bad-ass WRX.
