1,000 People Will Snap Up the Subaru BRZ Series.Blue Edition in No Time

Before you get too excited, this special edition Subaru BRZ Series.Blue does not have any turbochargers. Instead, Subaru has improved its aerodynamic efficiency. By adding STI-branded spoilers and underbody panels, the coefficient drag has dropped from 0.28 to 0.27. In addition, the Series.Blue – based on the BRZ Limited – receives 17-inch STI black alloys housing red brake calipers, with buyers getting a choice of WR Blue Pearl paint and Crystal White body colors.

The 200-hp 2.0-liter boxer unit comes exclusively mated to a six-speed manual. Inside, leather and Alcantara upholstery is finished with blue stitching, a BRZ logo adorns the carpeted floor mats and the steering wheel gets wrapped in black leather. Along with other 2015 MY BRZs, the special edition model benefits from revised suspension dampers, bigger stainless-steel exhaust tips, a body-colored shark fin antenna and faux-carbon dash panel. Subaru wants $26,490 for the BRZ Premium, and $30,285 for the Series.Blue edition, of which just 1,000 units are earmarked for production. Sales start in July.
