The only difference between the B5 Core and B6 Core trim levels is the output of the engine, due to the addition of a supercharger for the B6 model. This bumps outputs to 295 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque, giving a useful improvement in performance - the B6 is about a second quicker in the 0-60 mph sprint , at around 6.5 seconds. It is also somewhat heavier on fuel, with EPA estimates on the city/highway/combined cycles of 20/26/22 mpg and a fuel range of 414 miles, worse than the B5's 22/28/25 mpg and 470 miles. The supercharger also adds 25 pounds of weight to the B6.
