The Lariat is the priciest Ranger in the lineup, but with good reason. It takes care of that plastic interior by using slightly more upmarket materials, as well as leather seats. It goes a long way, but it’s still not quite there. It’s also powered by the same 2.3-liter turbocharged four-pot engine and ten-speed automatic combo. Since the US doesn’t have the diesel-only Ranger Raptor, this is the next best thing. It’s not the real Raptor package, but it does share a few things with it, like the Fox dampers and reservoirs, terrain management, model-specific alloys, and off-road tires, to name just a few.
